Custom turbo or STS Kit?
#1
The turbo plan is still full speed ahead. There is one little bump in the road, but it is a good bump. I wanted to get some feedback from you guys. I might have an opportunity to put an STS kit on the truck opposed to a custom kit that we are fabbing. Would you guys rather see a STS kit go on the truck or a custom fabricated kit? I spent time talking to the folks at STS today and I think they are interested in becoming a sponsor. What are your thoughts?

If I work with them they want me to use their entire kit. Absolutely none of the stuff I already bought would be used. They said sponsor, which considering I have 90% of the stuff I need, it would have to be a very good offer to entice me to switch gears

From personal experience: STS can be very motivating
They are also an extremely helpful company and individuals. I'd buy from STS all over again (and have twice). There are a few other companies I can say that about (FLT, Vinci, WCCH, Speartech to name a few).
More about STS: I have called Dave's cell phone on the weekends to leave voice mail and he picked up (not to mention the time I called him at 9:30am EST... DOH!!), and talked to Rick Squires many times after hours. You can't beat these guys to work with IMO. They are busier than one legged men in an *** kicking contest, but I tell you they always always always take care of me like I'm their only/biggest customer.

Being a dealer for STS, I have had nothing but great success and help from them as well. I have a few customers however that have had other thoughts- one such customer in my shop right now wanting to be the first F-body in the 9s on a STS kit. He said he called STS to get some help on some 3" charge pipe bending and STS offered no help or even ideas to get rolling..

Well folks I am going to link them up to this thread and let them see the comments. I appreciate those of you that are following the build. I am going to continue to work on the truck until we get it into the 11's as planned. All of your comments help. Thanks for your support
