Default Cam swap...

You guys that have done a cam swap on a TBSS, how hard was it? I have a friend that is willing to do it for a $1000. I don't really have time to do it myself. He told me the book says something like 27 hours???? It's a 2wd so I don't see why so long... I know there is less room than my truck, but still... So do you guys think I should just pay him, or do it myself? BTW, he is a GM tech at our local dealership.

Nothing to it.. Did one a few weeks ago, started around 1-2 and it was completley back together and running at 8 with A LOT of breaks.. Probably a 4 hour job if you stay at it

any friend that even asks for money into the four digit mark isnt a very good friend!
the job itself isnt to bad, if you dont have to pull the heads or anything then easily a day to do. I say a day cause I always have bad luck of starting something simple after dinner and something goes wrong and I gotta drive it to work in the morning haha

$1000 bucks would include all of the parts and labor right?!?!?!?!

I know people that I don't consider friends that will swap motors for $500...
