Default #6 in the shop

6th time in the shop for the rear end. They have replaced two cases and added limited slip fluid 3 times. I wonder what's next?

Wow, you must be beating the heck out of it!

That really sucks, why are you having problems? I am considering the TBSS for the wife's next car, realy haven't heard much bad about them at all.

Damn Greg! That's crazy, have you brought it to more than 1 shop or the same place?

That's because you never used GL-100 gear lube. (The dealers don't either).

I'll swear by the stuff...so get it whuile you still can, VP is stopping selling it because it's a low profit item for them.

Start by taking it to a different dealer...one with good mechanics would be a plus (although that's hard to find anymore).

Found the problems. They replaced the case again, and reinspected the entire rear end. They concluded that the damage is still related to the wreck. Now the insurance will get back involved to replace the entire rear housing along with pads that are wearing uneven and associated parts. Another 3 grand billed to them.
