Vince,
I'm thinking more the other way around. I keep a spare 4L60E laying around for my car, just wondering if it could be used on the TB SS.

Thanks for all the info!

I do believe that you could. It will reguire the above parts that I have posted pictures. In order to do a shift kit there is a little machine work that has to be done on the boost valve. At this point we at FLT are only custom building these units. We are in the RND process with the shift kit but I think I have good combo for the guy's with the 4l70e.

I have been told this as well but have not confirmed this. The RPO code for the 4l70e is M70. If that helps you any. Vince

I do know the RPO code,if my 4l70E has the sensor then its likely I cant slap in a transgo HD kit.Maybe I should just drill the plate and install a sonnax servo.

Now if there just was a way I could tell, seems you could tell by the connector going into the trans?

More importantly today I need to decide on a brine for tomorrows fried turkey.

At this point if you are not going to pull the trans you have the right idea with the plate and the servo's. I would drop the pan and see if you have the sensor or not. I could machine a boost valve for you if you purchase the kit from us.

On another note I prefer a garlic and butter brine for the fried turkey!

I plan to help the trans before the radix goes on, kind of torn as to what I want to do, debating to send off a new converter I have out of a 4L65E (escalade)and have it restalled, maybe get 2200-2400 out of it,if i do that then I will go into this 70E and tighten up the 3-4 clearence and install the transgo rev springs and also harden pump rings.Debating a vacuum modulator also.

Has anyone done a 4L80/85-E swap into a Trailblazer SS yet? I wonder if the number of pulses the PCM expects can be changed.
Imagine a supercharged TBSS with ZERO torque management and abuse-mode 100% disabled. Now that would be sweet. I don't think any electric 700R4 is going to pull that off.

I wouldn't debate anything about the vaccum modulator. Get the PCM out of the line pressure business.

4L80E would be the trick. Especially if it were fully electronic.
