This is a popular trick on mid 90's ImpalaSS's and B bodies. Trick is to pirate some ZQ8 bump stops- 2nd generation and trim if desired. This mod makes a world of difference. So I thought I would ask other's in the know- would this benefit full sized trucks? Pirated from the Colorado.
a litle while back I saw something like an auxilary shock in one of the 4x4 magazines- it's function was to absorb the jounce reducing sharp jolts as the suspension would bottom, which according to the article were pretty effective. I though that ZQ8 Bumpstops might be an answer in desguise..........

Do you mean that you put in a larger bump stop to help with bottoming out? And I think you are taking about air bump stops in the second half. They are suppost to be good. I know alot of stadium and baja trucks use them.

I have the ZQ8's on my B-Body (95 Caprice with a T56
) and I love them...they're not the same traditional style bumpstop...they're always in contact with the frame and they squish much easier than a traditional bumpstop...they still have hard rubber at the end of their squish, but all they did on the Caprice was make it ride nicer over crappy pavement, and it chases ruts in the pavement less too (which is always an issue on those cars on wide tires...but it doesn't ever happen on my Silverado)...is your truck a 2WD coil spring truck or a 4WD torsion bar truck?
