Default Would i have to re-gear

I have a 2011 silverado Z71 and i currently i run the 5 inch rough country lift kit and i was thinking about adding a 3 inch bodylift to my setup. If i did that but still ran my 33's would i have to re gear?

first off why would you run an 8" lift with 33s??? secondly you only regear for tire size, not lift..

I run 33s with a leveling kit only and have never rubbed (stock wheels). An 8" lift will clear 35s without any problem. You should have 3.42s because you have a Z71; personally I would swap to 4.10s with 33s since you have 3.42s. I would like 4.10s on my truck, but I already have 3.73s and that isn't enough of a bump, plus my 6.2 makes up for a bit of the loss in gearing. In short, 33s go well with 4.10s, 8" lifts go well with 35s, and 35s go well with 4.56s.

i have a 6" lift on 35s with 4.10 gears. IMO it needs 4.56 gears at least. i would throw some 4.10s in there with 33s
