My current tires are 275/45r20. Can you help me decide on a little bit taller tire. Thanks.

Now that is translated into English.

Yes a 275/50 would be around an inch taller, but that will only raise your truck 1/2".

Why are you looking for a taller tire to tow with?

You know I'm hearing impaired. Have some problem w grammar. But thank you fixing my correct sentence. The tire my current 275/45/r20 kept balance off sometimes. I want a little taller make ride smooth. Not because of tow

Sorry that you are hearing impaired. So many people talk getto as hell and or just don't care. I fully understand if you have a legitamate issue.

275/50 should help some but honestly you won't get a big differance in ride from any tire that will fit the truck without rubbing. What pressure do you run the tires at and what tire is on there?

Ask your local tire shop to test-fit a 275/55R20 on your truck to see if it rubs. Most will do this for no charge. If it fits and you like it, you know what to buy. And if they don't fit, ask them to try a 285/50R20.

In my experience, the 275/55R20 rides and handles CONSIDERABLY better than 275/45R20 on the same truck. The extra sidewall makes a pretty big difference.

The 285/50R20's also rode pretty well, but the extra width made my truck dart in the ruts a lot worse. The roads up here in AK leave a lot to be desired...
