Thanx man that's great I'm gunna try some in my truck .. wish I would have known this along time ago. Do you 4wd launch with it sitting like it does or do you decrank it?

Bumpers you ever get em put in on your truck? I'd like to see if they run on a 6" NTD like yours

Posted this up on GMFS, thought I would post here for anyone curious about the NNBS axle swap for lifted NBS trucks. Big thanks to sharpshooter for the discovery.

The truck (2000 Silverado Z71 on 33's)

Old axles:

New NNBS axles from Cardone (about $40 each from RockAuto), note the much improved CV angle:

NBS old axle with 1 7/8" spacer vs NNBS axles

Took about 2.5 hours working slowly but with an impact. Pretty easy swap. I did have to disconnect the bottom of each shock and swing it out to fit the old axles out from in between the shock and sway bar end link.

How Long were your axles lasting with the spacers? that angle was brutal!

No idea, just bought the truck 2 weeks ago from a friend for cheap. Has 120k miles total, no idea when the lift was put on. But the cvs were totally shot.

Is that just a TB crank TXTahoe, or TB crank and a lift kit?

Fabtech lift kit and looks like a bit of a crank. I need to decrank it, looks a bit extreme.

Need to replace the pitman and idler arms and get it aligned before it's driveable, the alignment is way off.

what year are you using for the new axels? I'm guessing different than a 04? or are the new ones longer than the 04's?

Decranked it about 7-8 threads, CV angle is much flatter now. Will post pics when I have time.

I bought axles for a 2010 Silverado 1500 4wd off of Rock auto for ~$38 a piece. My understanding is any NNBS axles for a 1500 4wd truck should fit.
