Newbie needs help with tire size

Default Newbie needs help with tire size

Hey guys I have a 04 silverado 2wd w 17's on it stock height. My ? is can i run 255/50/17 on it without any problems or should i go to a smaller width.

255/50/17 is 10.03 width. That is narrow in my books. You would not have fitment issues with that width.

i'm running 295/45/20 on my 03. that's 11.61 wide and 30.40 tall and they have more than enough room.

Your stock is, what? 245 right? You could go to a 275 or 285/50-55/17

What do you have? A street only machine or somthing that goes offroad? Thats going to make a difference in your tire selection.

It being 2wd, you cant do much offroad but it doesnt mean you cant leave the pavement.
