Default Lifting a suburban

I am expecting my first child and I am coming to the realization that my H3 Alpha is not going to be big enough for the three of us and the dog on road trips. I need a vehicle that is going to have more room and close to the same off-road capabilities as my current Hummer. I was considering a new Suburban and putting a 4+ inch lift on it. I want to order one with skid plates and limited slip/ locker. Does anyone have a lift kit that they are happy with? Plans for the truck include lift and at least 34" (315/75/R17) tires. Need it to be comfortable and pretty capable as well. Thanks!

I thought about getting one, but I really am going to need more room than that. I've also got a ski boat that we tow all around the summer time to different lakes and I need the room to put all of our stuff in. Tahoe is a little bigger than my current Hummer but not much. Besides you never see a really clean lifted Sub!

I've had lifted IFS trucks before, but they were all torsion bar equipped trucks. I've never had a strut front end vehicle so I was curious to see who all has that type of lift and what they like and dislike about it.

do it man, get a 3/4 ton sub it's beefy, its got the 6.0 and 80e and a higher gear in the axles, a perfect starting point for a lifted truck to be used for towing.

I thought about that but the problem is when we are loaded down with baby crap (stroller etc.) dog, our gear and then hit bad weather we are up the creek. I need something that I can do some pretty decent off-road excursions, haul the family around in and tow a ski boat in the summer time. 2009 Sub, 5in lift, CAI, catback, wait4me tune, towing package and I think it will be able to do all I need it to. Just need to know what manufacturer of lift y'all would recommend for this type of vehicle and what settings you are running with it. Thanks alot!
