yeah its a jeep thing for jeep owners to think they are part of a jeep club. I have a 74 yota land cruiser and all of my buddies had jeeps and a few of them had its a jeep thing sticker on them. but when they couldn't go places in 4wd that i was going in 2wd i said yeah i get it now its a jeep thing right. as i drove around them.

it must have something to do with their awesome fourwheeling capability in stock form.

I've wheeled the **** out of my old man's '95 Grand cherokee, and it's got some cheap-*** street tread tires, and it refuses to get stuck, even with open diff's front and rear. gotta love coil springs at all four corners.

I hate the look, feel, and the drive, of my dad's jeep (feels like driving a john-boat down the road with all the wallering it does around on the road) but I really would like to cut the fenders to clear 31's, put an 8.8 ford in the rear, and a ox-locker in the front and see what it does.

For 31's the Dana 35 in the rear will be plenty adequate. It's when you get over 35's that the front D30 takes a **** and the D35 rear is close behind in lack of strength.
