Default HD Height?

Where do the HD silverados get their height? Is it body lift, or just from the beefier suspension?

That's what I thought.... Now what problems do I run into with a body lift?

So you're saying that HD's are 4.5" taller from the factory than a z71? Not trying to be a dick, but that isn't correct.

They don't have a "build in body lift". Hence why when you buy a 3" HD body lift there aren't already pucks in there.

They are about 2-2.5" taller than a factory z71 because the frame is physically 1.5" taller and because the HD leaf spring pack is beefier.

You won't run into any problems with a body lift. My buddy has a 2002 crew cab hd with just a body lift and 315/70/17's and he hasn't had a single problem in 3 years and 75k miles.

no no your right, that was wat i meant, a frame lift, im sorry i said body lift. if you measure the frame of a hd compared to a light duty it is as random hero said taller like it has a built in FRAME lift like i meant to say lol. that is so your tranny tunnel aint crushin your tranny... and more reinforcement i would imagine. also as far as suspension goes they do have better springs and such so im sure that would raise it a little to as stated

you would be fine with a body lift
