I have a 2005 GMC 1500 4wd and I just got the Power Slot rotors and Hawks Pads. I went to install them yesterday to find out the pads are a different shape than the stockers and don't fit. I called Hawk and they said GM used 3 different style pads on the trucks and they make 2 of the 3 and mine aren't one of them. The hawk pads have a c shaped tab at the ends and my stock ones don't. The tab hit the caliper on my truck so now I am not sure how I am supposed to get the correct pad. I want something better than stock to go along with the slotted rotors. any suggestions on brands or if anyone had this problem?
