Good off road snow tire?

I know the the BFG all terrain comes in a 37/12.50, there is tall but still kinda narrow, bad *** big tire. After the body lift on the blazer and the 35's wear out that is the way im gonna go.

I run the winterforce m+s snow tire, it doesn't look bad imo. has held up for two winter/ some summer seasons without really much tread wear and performs very well in the snow... did i mention they are cheap? anyways give them a look at. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ireModel=M%2BS

I have had some experience with BFG A/T's and they are a kickass snow tire! My dad used to run them on his f-350 and we pull a 26' enclosed trailer snowmobiling all winter. This included logging roads/trails to get up to snow-parks and stuff. Now, he and I both run Toyo M/T's and they are just as good if not better in the snow.

Like said above, no true mud terrain tire is going to perform that well on ice and packed snow....
That being said, when i was reviewing mud tires I narrowed it down to toyo mts and cooper stt's because of their great on road and off road reviews AND because both also have a single siping cut in each lug...
I went with the coopers because toyo didnt have the size i wanted...and although I cant compare them to any other mt's, they performed pretty well in the recent ice storm imo......I was kinda worried that I would have to switch back the stockers like you mentioned but I got around just fine
Might be able to give you a snow review by this weekend...

I dont think the BFG M/T's tread design cleans the snow out of the lugs very well and thats why they suck in snow. My dad had a set of those on his truck one year also and he hated them. I know this because I was the one who got to pull the winch line out and hook it up to trees and watch his tires spin and the snow stayed packed in the lugs. The Toyo's do get the snow out so they seem to keep grabbing and grabbing , havent had to winch her out yet!
