funny noises and synchros

OK guys I have two questions for ya! 1 where can I get a set of vette synchros for my 4L60? #2 I just got my truck lifted and I and getting some rather loud knocks from the front end when I go into reverse with the wheel turned and some time in drive with the wheel turned. It was alligned the day after the lift went on, and i have gone through the whole front end and double checked every nut and bolt and not a one is loose. Any ideas on either would be greatly appreciated! :hail:

you can get the servo from here: nonsponsor link

As for the popping noises, they could be coming from either your ball joints or your alignment being maxed out.

I replaced all of my ball joints with the lift. What do you mean the alignment being maxed out?

if, in doing the alignment, the techs moved everything to the very limits to get them into alignment, that could cause some noise. Mine did.

Well I know what I will be doing tomorrow during my lunch break.... inspecting every inch of the front end. Did you get yours fixed and if so how?

I'm in the process of getting it fixed. To make a long story short, after an accident I had to get the little frame brackets pulled to give me more room.

Sorry to hear about the accident!! Wasnt caused by the clunking was it?

sounds like your cv axles. when your tbars are maxed out "which sounds like they are because of the alignment maxed" your cv axles are put in a bind and will pop and make noise. lowering the front end would help fix this. With those angles your cv axles wont last very long.

as for the servos check with FLT. they cary a full line of tranny parts and are top notch

well my torsion bars arent' maxed, they are only about half way up. Alignment on the front is still a ways off from being maxed. However it is looking like the c/v is going to hell though. If it is no biggie, it will take no more than an hour and $90 to fix it!
