I was...but like all BFG's they are hard as a rock, so they are now gone. Wet weather wasn't real nice either. There were my second, and last, set of BFG's...

I'm running 33's BFG All Terrain's on my truck and I had 35's on my old truck. They are great all around tire IMO. They only have the All Terrain in Load E 10 Ply tires.

They are going on a 04 1500 and I don't need E rated tires.

Bumping this one up for opinions from anyone that may have gotten these tires in the last year since the original post. It is time to replace my 275/60/20 Cooper LTZ and the BFG Rugged Terrain has sparked my interest.

I am not a fan of BFG. They are made by Michilen and I don't like anything from Michilen. If you are a millionare and can aford tires every three years then Michilen is the answer for you. They are the greatest tire on the market for the first 2-3 years. After that they get hard, dry rot like hell, and traction is massively deninished.

The best tire on the market for a mildly aggressive tread is the Hankook RF-10. Amazing Bite, decent price, and long life. I also like the Cooper and Mastercraft(same tire differant name on the side) AT. They are less expencive but they also have shorter tread life. Great value and lower upfront cost. I would steer as far away from BFG as possibly unless you are very welthy, you will love them at first but you will hate them in the VERY near future.

Not sure if you have bought a set yet but I have them on a F350 and they have been great. I had BFG all terrains on it before and the rugged terrains are nice and quiet on the highway and I tired them out in a 6" snow storm and they never slipped.

How many sets have you had? Ive been running BFG for almost 20 years and never had a problem. On different trucks I have ran 16 sets of all terrains, 2 sets of rugged terrains, 2 sets of Mud terrains, and 1 set of gforce. If you keep your tires rotated and balanced they will last.

I did purchase a set about two weeks ago so I have had them long enough to give my initial impression of them. First set that came in took alot of weight to balance so they got me another set in next day. Second set was better but not great but we found it it is likely due to my wheels, not the tires entirely. However, they ride very smooth and noise is noticeable but not an annoyance. We have only had a light rain so I cannot fully attest for their wet handling but they seem like they will do well. I took them offroad on a sandy trail with some pretty deep washouts at points and they did great. So far, I am pleased with the BFG Rugged Terrains.

Something the shop probably didn't know was on the side wall with the white letters there was a white dot. Usually gets washed off but that is where the valve stem goes. If they don't line that up the tires are very hard to balance. I have have had shops argue with me about that saying it dont matter. Until they try it for them self. The 35" tire with a 20" wheel on my f350 didn't require much weight at all.
