Default Better front brakes?

I run baer rotors, hawk pads, but the fronts are just crap for a 35 in tire. will c-5 corvette calipers fit? are those pads for the c-5 with more pad surface area? I am looking for something that will still fit under my 16 inch weld wheels at a reasonable cost. Anyone with sucess with this?

I'm thinking that you might be pretty limited on what you can run with 16" rims. When I was selling my stock 16" rims a local guy tried to put them on his 2005 silverado (bigger brakes than my '03) and the wheel wouldn't even turn with them on. You would probably have to do a lot of grinding to get things to clear. The c5's came with 17" front wheels so I would say that you would run into the same kind of problem as well no to mention other factors you will run into making them fit. If you search around there are people that have put corvette breaks on there trucks.

Have you looked into Hydroboost and SS brake lines?

Do hydroboost. Its one of the cheapest mods for the most gain.

I have the braided steel brake lines, yes. for some reason, gmc-chevy brakes were biased more to the rear in 2001. I wear the rear pads 2 times faster than the fronts. my dad had same problem with his 2001 but his was stock.
