They are simply bumpstops, but much heavier duty and with progressive "rates" to give you a more controlled ride as well.

I used to install them all the time on plow trucks and each owner was incredibly happy with the results. Especially the Ford and Dodge guys who couldn't just crank the bars to sit level up front, but it helped out every truck...even a little Ford Ranger.

Koots thanks for the info soon as I can afford shocks looks like I'll try timbrens gotta fix the crawler 1st

A new set of bumpstops should help well. I put Z71 2500HD bump stops on my 02' and it really helped control my front end. It felt like a new truck in front, even after replacing the entire front end LOL

Anyway, they are a cheap way to keep things in check IMO Even if your stockers look okay, they are probably compressed, cracked and incredibly rough after many miles and could use replacing.

Whatcha got for a crawler?

88 Toyota putting a 98 4.3 vortec turbo 350 with a chevy np231/300 doubler Toyota axles 35x13.50 bfg Krawlers on 15" beadlocks leaf springs in front air shocks an 4 link rear unless I change them out it's in the shop now hope to get it finished by spring
