2010 Z-71 Lift and tire combo??????

Here is the deal guys, Im getting differnt info on tire size for a 2010 z-71 with a 2" leveling kit. I plan to keep the factory 18" wheels and i have been told i can run a 285-65-18 with no rub issues., and also could run a 305-65-18 and trim the bottom of the inner fender? Any info would be a great help and if you have a pic of a 2010 with the factory 18" wheels and a 285/305 tire with the 2" lift it would be great. Thanks, Heath...

FWIW i have factory 20's but i have ran 33's no issues with a leveling kit and now 35's with a little clearancing on a 3"lift. Lots of haters said neither could be done also.

sure, but after your suspension starts flexing?? lot of tire scraping, i imagine...

plus if its the 3" rough country kit... chances are his alignment is off, his coils are rubbing and his truck rides like crap, because the 3" RCX kit is a total piece of shit.

if you want a little bit of rake with a smooth ride get yourself a Top Gun Customz 2.5" leveling kit and a set of NBS (99-06) blocks/ubolts. That is what I am running minus the NBS blocks (I like mine level) and I scrubbed a tiny bit backing in my driveway with 295/55/20s until I trimmed about an 1" on the front and back of my front wheel liners, now its fine. My truck still feels stock too :D but I just ordered a 5" RCX kit the other day

you mean 32 285s are 32.75 tall iirc 305s are a true 33. and FTW i dont like stuffed trucks either

narrow it down to the brand of tire you want.. then go on there web page and compair the actual size... sometimes depending on brand the over all height is not as far off as it sounds..

say a 285-60-18 is a 33.5 and a 315-60-18 is 34. inches..

Meh..

I was just quick comparing, I just run 16's. And yeas, brand matters.

285/75/16 = 33x11.5

305/70/16 = 33x12.5

315/75/16 = 35's

So for tire calcs above a 16'' rim, I fail. :D

Im leaning toward the nitto trail grapplers in a 285-65-18 on the stock LT alum. wheels. As far as the lift it will be a rough country 2" leveling kit on the front and stock on the rear. I drive the truck 70-80 miles round trip to work and its just not feasable to go any bigger with it. This setup is suppose to work with NO rubbing. Please tell me if im wrong or if i can a tad bigger tire.......Thanks for all the help.....

Ur tire on stock 18s - 285/65/18 = 32.83"x11.93"
My tire on stock 20s - 295/55/20 = 32.91"x12.52"

As I said.. mine rubbed a tad at first with the 2.5" TGC kit. I would imagine you should be fine with the RCX 2" and a tiny bit of trimming of the inner fender liners
