Default Welded my v-band and surface not true

Forgot to clamp my v-band together before welding now surface not true. Very minimal gap . I'm worried because my o2 sensor is very close and don't want air to affect it.What is the best way to true both up? I tried fine file cross hatching and getting close but need another method. Thanks

I always used a flat file on mine. It took awhile. Did you do a continous bead when you welded it??? I always do little spot welds on opposite sides and i let it cool down inbetween.

Yeah had it spot welded then went to town on it. Guess I can keep working it, might look for a new larger fine tooth file. Thanks

Let us know when you fix the issue. I know someone with the exact same problem.

U can always saw into the pipe enough to get pipe to bent a little and rewelded the pipe. If u do it close to the old weld it will just look like a bigger weld.

Have a chop saw? Can face it with the side of the saw disk.
