I used the flat bar stock one for a while, then I got the comp one which works well. As said just keep it lubed and dont compress the springs more than needed.
The one i made would work fine if i could find a longer 8x1.25 stud... The one i had was about 1/4-3/8 inch too short.... And a decent nut that didnt have a gap between the end of the nut and the first thread....
On factory springs or maybe some beehives, but i couldnt get mine to catch between the coils on my 918s and the center spring on the duals kept popping through the bottom..... Im sure it would work great on my camaro where i could actually get directly over the spring, but my truck im literally hanging off the front end or in my buddy's garage with my feet planted against the wall to balance myself.... Im 5'11" (6' on a good day after a visit to my chiropractors office) and my core support is about 4'11" (guessitmating) so kind of limits the tools you can effectively use and there was no way that style compressor wouldve worked on the rear most cylinders anyway, had ac lines in way of 8 and brake booster on 7..... I plan on taking a night or two this and messing with the truck, possibly swap my trans and converter in and start on my header install, and hopefully get the springs sorted out....
