I used the flat bar stock one for a while, then I got the comp one which works well. As said just keep it lubed and dont compress the springs more than needed.

The one i made would work fine if i could find a longer 8x1.25 stud... The one i had was about 1/4-3/8 inch too short.... And a decent nut that didnt have a gap between the end of the nut and the first thread....

Probably havent even checked there honestly.... Fastenal around here seems to be expensive

weld a couple pieces of steal under the part that touches the spring to push it down more
