Default Matco Quick to Load Jack Stands

I just saw them on TV. The Matco website doesn't give any info. I am not going to spend that kind of money on jack stands, but what is the mechanism that makes them operate?

I gave $100 for a set of those about two weeks ago from my Matco dealer. They work great!! Very sturdy and when they lock, you know it... I use them on my F450,550,650 rearend overhauls where I can't do them on any of our racks because the trucks are too big. For me working alone, they're well worth it. I haven't really picked them apart, but I'm guessing there's some type of spring under the head of the stand. Either way, they're freaking awesome.

When I saw them on TV, it looked like they were motor driven because of the slow, steady movement. That's why I asked. Post some pics as soon as you get them apart.

Seems like a cool concept...looks like you can get the jack stand in place then just reach under with one hand, leaving your other hand free to hold a beer
