Default Imapct swivel sockets....

Anybody have the grey pneumatic 1210um 1210UM | 3/8" Drive Standard Length Universal Set the sunex 3657 Sunex® Tools | Guaranteed to Perform drive impact swivel socket sets? What are your thoughts on them... Need a set for my part time job and when i can cut back to one job(if that ever happens), be nice to have around the house for side work, my stuff etc. i have all snap-on impact swivels at my full time job, but cant see shelling out $300+ on another set that dont get used half as much!!! Other option is harbor freight has a 7 pc set for about $28 but somehow those seem like playskool quality!!

My HB are still going strong but don't hammer on them daily.

Those grey pneumatic socket are suppose to be really nice, I'd buy them over snap on or matco sockets anyday. I've heard one of the bummers is getting a replacement if you break one. I don't think GP will replace them if you contact them you have to go through the people you buy them from.

Also look into the sunex sockets, MATCO used to have sunex make their sockets for the ADV line.

HB?? I have used both borrowing them from guys i work with at my part time job, the grey pneumatic seem to be better quality, but dont necessarily have the range of angle of the snap-on sockets i have... But again havent used them on a regular basis...

The GP's stuff works. Biggest thing (Like with any tool) is a place to warranty them.

The HF stuff is not too bad especially for part time use. I recently bought a 1/4-3/8 long reach dual head flex ratchet. Pittsburgh Professional - Item#67994 . It works great in tight spaces.

What I like about their warranty is, you break one thing and they give you a whole new set since they don't sell singles.

Some there stuff is just plane crap but the sockets are decent for the money. Plus it's alot easier to deal with if you loose and need to replace.

All the guys have mac tools we cant get warrantied because non of the mac guys, come around, them again the one in this area was a tard and ran himself out of business, between running emptiest truck ive ever seen and using the money from the truck for personal stuff, he ended up signing on with a guy that is somehow setup to where he basically has guys running 6 or 7 mac tool trucks for him and he goes after repos and stuff...

As a Snap-on Franchisee im obviously a bit biased. But for occasional use at home/pt job, you will be fine using some of the cheaper stuff.

I have the deep well sunnex swivel set, have had them about 10-12 years and used to use them for heavy equipment. Still going strong. That's behind a IR impact that broke loose the stuff the snap on guns wouldn't touch.
