If you haven't already tried, vacuum forming the CF to the mold will give you a better stronger result than hand laying and drying.

This way you will have true thickness throught the part that is being cast, and the resin will be infused in the CF. Some resins shrink more than others, and that can lead to stress cracks and wavy panels too.

I did say that, vacuum forming (just used bagged as my word).

But now u make me think of another point. Resins: Work time & some are better than others, as they relate to heat or rather their vulnerability to heat.

Any news on this, OP?
