transmission and converter are built... ill be taking my truck to all star transmission in white oak they are about 200 cheaper then my local trans shop. im going to order my cam and cam tools tonight so ill prolly put in my cam before it goes to all star since itll take bout 12-13 days to get down here

 

should have my truck back by friday. trans will be at the shop wednesday. then if my cam comes in ill be doing that install that weekend as well.

 

cool deal, are you having Ronny install the tranny? If so let him know I sent you to him and he may cut you a little better deal, Ive always taken my stuff to him and Ive hooked him up in the past with golf stuff. If Im in town next weekend id be glad to come drink some beer and spectate the cam swap Someone else installed my cam but I did keep a very watchful eye and helped him some.

i had a wreck coming home from work tuesday morning and totaled my jetta. gonna see if i cant get my cam in, in time to do it this weekend. truck should be done friday maybe cam will be in too since TSP is just in lubbock

EDIT: just bought my TSP 224r, pac 1218 springs, TSP push rods, valve spring tool kit and compressed air adapter. should be here friday...

who wants to help put this **** in? gonna buy all my gaskets and new oil and stuff tomorrow

 

so heres what i bought:
6 qts 10w30 castrol
wix filter
16 sealed power lifters
16 pen magnets
timing cover set(wp gasket, timing cover gasket, front seal, misc o-rings)
2 gal antifreeze
1 can cheese can silicone
red lock tight
engine assembly lube

i need to get a 3 finger puller aswell as a longer crank bolt

and i guess since texas speed didnt send my comp cams compressed air tool i wont be doing my cam untill i get it in

 

wow nobody talks in east texas much.
got cam in, got it tuned, and picked up a nitrous outlet kit. gonna throw a 150 shot at it once i get a wide band

 

zach i saw your truck up at the oreillys off gilmer road like 2 weeks ago do you work there?

also the tune i got from terrance just wasnt cutting it so i took the truck over to luckys speed and performance to get it dyno tuned

terrance had my idle about 800 and it wouldnt crank up when cold so i would have to give it some gas. jon up there now has it cranking when cold and idle is about 650 just waiting to hear from em to call me about seeing it stapped to the rollers
