Come late July around July 29th or 30th depending on what would work for everyone, we will be meeting in Midland. Beau@SDPC is working on getting a group discount at the Desert Thunder Raceway for us to run at. We are still working out where we can meet, greet, and eat before the race. If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to post it! Sponsors are welcomed! Hopefully we can have a big turn out for this meet!

It will be more of a truck related GTG, but everyone and anyone is welcome. I'll be dragging my LT1 car along with me, if its done by then,to get some testing in at a good track If not, we'll see how the truck does with its new SDPC LS327 setup.

Once we get a better idea of car count, I will see what I can do about getting us a discounted rate.

Also, I have visited Midland quite a few times and can find us a nice hotel, good eats, and cheap thrills!!

I have done some searching on hotels and feel that Baymont Inn & Suites (Formerly Best Western Airport Plaza Inn) is a good choice. They will offer a us a 15% discount with 5-9 rooms reserved or 20% with 10 or more reserved. Rates would be anywhere from $70-$75 per night plus taxes/fees. A little pricey, but it is within 5-10 minutes from the track.

If anyone in the Midland/Odessa area has input on this hotel, or would like to drive to it, check it out, look at parking lot size, etc, I would appreciate it.

Any suggestions for other hotels would be greatly appreciated!

How many of us would actually stay the night in a hotel? I know the Mid/Odd guys won't, but I figured anyone a couple hours or more out would stay Friday Night after the TNT to either watch or race Saturday.
