I went with Gilbert @ Ace transmissions in garland. But I don't think anyone can build a built trans n a day. Unless u just wanting a stock trans. Gil builds them one @ a time for each customer specifically for there app. He don't keep trans in stock n ready. But give him a call an see

Gilbert at Ace has been very helpful to me in diagnosing an intermittent slip.

Gilbert rebuild my 4l60e in my 2000 Silverado about 4 years ago and mine just went out last Sunday. He is very knowledgeable and patient. He will answer all your questions and take the time to work with you on your specific application. I had my truck dropped off yesterday to get it rebuilt again. Would recommend him to anyone in the Dallas area.

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to update since my experience has changed. I needed a new trans in the TBSS last summer and took it to Phoenix based on experiences on TBSSowners. Greg was great to work with and I went w/ their reworked I6 converter which stalls to about 2800 rpm. I drive it hard and have been really happy with it.

I can't speak to how they compare with other companies, but I would definitely use them again based on that experience and how it's performed since.
