Toyota tundra or gmc sierra what to get????

I'm not buying it to make fast. If I was doing that I would buy a single cab and throw a built motor and Turbo at it. I have something else for that. This is strictly daily driver. Pull a boat and maybe a car trailer every now and then. I also need the 4wd for the deer lease.

Thats not true about tuning a tundra. There are piggy back controllers you can get dyno tuned. Still sucks compared to tuning a LS truck.
I leased a double cab tundra w/ 5.7. Its hard to keep paint on the truck, it dents like a coke can, and probably the roughest ride. Interior is ok. I have no problem with the seats. I drove 600mi in one day, no problems. You can get a 10 speaker, JBL system (I did). 5.7 comes with the 6 spd and 4.33 gears. Console shifter is pretty cool.
For a stock truck, it is not slow. Ive never had mine dyno'd but ive seen sheets where they put down 300rwhp. Tops out at 115 mph. Ive seen slips of a crew max with very few bolt ons (drop in filter, cat-back...) run a 14.6.
When I tried, Id get 15-16 mpg around town, 19.8 mpg was my best on a trip to Dallas.
I say at least test drive one. You might like it. Its built in Texas, most of the parts are made in the U.S. Tough to pass up a new GMC, best looking truck on the road IMO.

I agree with zero2sixT on all counts. Coming from a previous Chevy owner, I've now owned my Tundra now for almost 3 years and I say get the GMC with the 6.2L.
The Tundra is ugly inside and out but it does have great power. Also, the aftermarket for these trucks absolutely sucks if you want to add anything in the future. There are some good things to say about the Tundra but it's hard to find them. lol
