In Austin on Saturday helping someone move back to Dallas and the damn truck pops a P0601. First time I cleared the code it only ran another 10 minutes the shut down again. Next time i cleared the code it listed the same code twice and the first one said permanent! ****. Had to leave the truck at Henna Chev. for a warranty ecu replacement. Anyone in the Austin area have any experience with these guys?

 

Henna's good place next place if you ever have any problems is Don Hewlett chev. I'm guessing by now it has long since been fixed.

 

They did a good job getting the truck repaired. They replaced the ECU under warranty. Only thing the tech mentioned was the tune. He was able to save the tune in the trans but not the engine. That didn't matter though just installed Kooks LT's this weekend so working on the tune for those. Was just uncomfortable leaving the truck in the hands of someone I didn't know.
