Default shipping wheels...

anyone in the Fort Worth area shipped wheels before? Who did you use and about what did it run? The guy I normally use can't do outside stuff anymore so I need a new source.

I shipped a set of drag lites once, front runners with tires and rears with slicks, I used fedex(820 & mark IV) and it seems it was around $30 a wheel and tire, I maybe off on the price but not far. I just cut circles out of big card board boxes and covered up the front and rear of the wheels and taped the crap out of them. They made it all the way to mississippi with no problems.

these things aren't 20# a wheel/tire... I got them out today, I'll get one weighed tomorrow morning and call ups. I didn't realize UPS would ship something like that for the average joe customer.

That's me, i transfered out there a couple weeks ago. More money, and more hours. Stop by sometime when we aren't busy. Ask for Alex

And yes, UPS will ship just about anything. I shipped a set of complete 862's in a box together. Weighed about 50lbs and cost me $35 or so for shipping. I always take my stuff to staple's in lake worth and the UPS truck comes and picks up the packages
