fuck that shit, I understand some limit, but why would you raise it, if anything enforce the law that is already in effect

I still haven't heard anything from the DPS rep. and I agree with venom...I can't count the people I've had come in with 15-10-even 5% tint and say the cops never say anything to them

Ive had 2 Sheriffs pull me over in harris county and i have 5% tint all around and they never told me a thing for the tint but maybe Im just lucky?

You can see the cops arguments about seeing who's inside. If they pull someone over and the driver is trying to get to a gun or something but they can't see him cuz the tint is too dark, that would really suck for the cop. The cop doesn't know if your a psycho or not. They just want to be able to make it home safe at the end of their shifts.

It's also clearly a Safety issue at night. With tint that dark how can you see out the side windows to check your mirrors or make turns? If its raining or snowing are you HONESTLY going to roll down your window to see ? no.

That aside, I do feel that they should just write tickets if your tint caused you to have a wreck and not make laws to prevent you from doing what you want with your own property.

Always look at laws from both sides. You may think it's not fair, but it's not fair to the cop that he can't see what your doing while he's walking up on your vehicle. You think they enjoy not knowing whats going to happen when they get to your door?

they should just make a law that says u have 20 seconds to produce license and proof of insurance and exit the car with hands in the air... i dont like when cops come up to my window anyways i feel that leaves them too open for attack. make them exit the vehicle. plus itll make people think twice about BARELY pulling off the side of the road thus risking their own life and the cops and other drivers as well.

i know this is an old thread, but this law shit is rediculous. ive hade 5% tint on my truck for almost five years now, and have never been messed with. its your property, i say do as you please. if im pulled over, i just roll down the window so the police can see in. problem solved

i install tint myself,and never saw this thread,i usually install what the customer wants of course,but ill let em know dont come back wanting free tint when dps pulls you over lol.on my vehicles,i run 20%fronts,,double 5% rears,and 6in eyebrow.

i recently got pulled over by a bitch dps in my yukon,the bitch just made the excuse of the tint,but started asking all these questions about drugs,thats all they want to know.then she checked my tint with her little tint% tester and shes like oh yes its illegal.i asked her to show me what it said and she said no!!what a bitch,i left w/o a ticket too.

this bill aint worth a shit,never even seen a 50% tint wtf
