I was there and ran some really crappy times. this was second time at the strip in the SS. With a couple hundred miles on it back in Feb, I ran a 9.5, then several 9.2's and a 9.1 and had to leave. Figured I would've gotten 8's since most other stock TBSS's do. Then on Sunday I couldn't get better than 9.30's. wtf?
haven't changed anything other than swapping in a SLP Loudmouth muffler in place of the stock one, and putting on some different wheels (same size as stock). It was warmer than in Feb. those Feb runs were also done on 89 octane when the SS calls for 91+, and I had 93 on Sunday.

I've never seen a stock TBSS run 8s lol. Most of them I've seen around here run mid-low 9s just like you ran. Maybe with a tune and some exhaust work they can hit 8s

yeah, different tracks will produce better or worse times to. redline has better track prep imo. I run about 1.5 mph faster at denton. I talked to justin about getting you a tune, he has a tbss so a good tune for your tbss is doable.

fastest bone stock tbss (with smaller wheels and DR's) is 13.3 in the 1/4. that's NO mods. not hard to see a 8.7 or 8.6 from that. another TBSS owner that just has a CAI and Diablosport tuner runs a 8.2 in 1/8th.

that can make a big difference too? did you weigh you new wheels and tires vs. the stock wheels and tires? I pick up aabout 1-1.5 tenths just by running a stock 17" wheel and tire on the front of my truck. damn 20's weigh 90lbs a piece. and the dr's will knock the 60 ft down and make the overall time go down. I can't run faster than a 11 in the 1/8 without slicks.
