So how it Galveston looking these days?


Looks like Im gonna be working on Pelican Island for a few months.


Good restaurants? Places to hang out? (and no that dosent mean the oriental bars on the end of the strand LOL)

 

everything is starting to open back up from what i hear. I have not been back down there yet though.

 

Anybody know anything else about it?

 

Its getting there slowly, you still see lots of hints as to what happened. Im about 15min from there in one of the bad hit parts.

 

Ive been twice since the storm... theres still damage but for the most part infrastructure is back and its business as usual

 

good to know, I always went the ferry to and from but I dont think I wanna go that way.

How is the toll bridge between there and Freeport?

 

The ferrys are open I work them on a weekly basis. the toll bridge is open as well on the other end. Mostly everything is open. alot of mom and pop stops are gone. But mainly everything else is open.
