I really miss you, Alabama just isnt the same without my special Texan friend.

Not it on teaching you.

Millermatic 220V are badass. Stay away from 110vs

This summer if your ever in the Dallas area i wouldn't mind showing you a thing or two. I've got a miller 180 mig, 200amp miller tig, stick, plasma, oxy-acetylene . I can PM my contact info if you want. i don't always check pt.net frequently.

Ive got a Lincoln Ranger portable machine that I use around here, I TIG, MIG, and stick off of it... I've also got an old lincoln "crackerbox" 220v stick machine I learned on... and a little portable Hobart 110v, its good for little quick projects since its so portable. You can run the damn thing off an extension cord LOL...

I've been welding since I was a kid and just really started getting back into it a few years ago, Its not that hard, you just have to know how to "chase the puddle" I could show you whatever you wanted to know if youre ever out my way.

Do you have a high frequency box on that ranger or do you scratch start?

high Freq... scratch starting worked fine, but welding blind or in tight spots, the box makes it nice.
