Get Rid of That Annoying Door Chime
Hey guys I was just tinkering around with my truck today and got rid of the factory door chime in the cleanest possible way (no wire cutting or fuse pulling)
If you take a peek under your dash above your gas pedal on any 1999-2003 Gm, you'll notice an interior control box, like so:
Just push the clips to the side to get the box down, and unplug the wires, the box is held together at the four corners by some all-to-easy to remove prongs:
Just take your soldering gun out and remove the solder from the two prongs under the round speaker, and pull the little guy off:
Put it all back together and there you have it! no more door chime so you can listen to music with the doors open or work on your truck without a headache from the noise!
