This isn't for a truck, but I figured this was the most appropriate place to post it.

I'm gonna be getting my g/f either XM or Sirus radio for her 2002 Santa Fe. Which would be better? Any pros or cons for each one? I don't know nothing about these, so any info is appreciated! Thanks.

 

My dad had XM in his avalanche and they have Sirius in their house.

XM isn't horrible, but Sirius has better stations in my opinion.

but they are losing nascar as well to sirius. Sirius diluted thier stock to get tons of cash to pay for programming. In the next 5 years Sirius will kill XM in programming but if they don't catch up in subscriber base they will die...get bought out. WHich with only 2 companies, someone will keep them afloat.

Sirius here. Lifetime subscription, with 2 other subscriptions (got my dad one).

Have both and I am cancelling my XM subscription. The channels are just plain better, plus Howard is on Sirius. 30 for the first month for monthly charge and activation, after that its 13 bucks a month.

 

not sure how much the setup will cost, but buy it and tell everyone to buy it. They need to increase the price for their shares. I need to make some money off of them

 

Sirus all the way! Howard, Blue Collar Comedy,better music etc... Plus last year XM had 61% of the market and Sirus had 39% this year flip those numbers Sirus 61% and XM 39%. XM is old news Sirus is the sh**!

 

well...as much as I like to see that...I follow their stocks.

XM has a grip on home a/v receivers and have way more market share in the new vehicle market. BUT, Sirius is the ****, they are spending cash to expose themselves and get the better programming. Blue Collar, Raw Dog are f-ing funny. I hate Howard, he has his funny moments, but so would I if I talked for that long and had **** stars visit all the time, something funny would eventually fall out of my mouth as well. But to each his own.

 

xm may have more subscribers but sirius is growing rapidly. more rapidly than xm. in fact xm is giving away free subscriptions to people that try to cancel. i have xm at home on my sat reciever. it sucks. sirius is in all of my cars. it rocks.
