Wiring a Temp/Compass Mirror

How hard would it be to wire up a compass/temp rear view mirror out of a 00 silverado to my 99 silverado which doesnt have the compass/temp mirror already

on that im pretty sure youll have to buy something aftermarket unless you could find a wiring harness out of a junk truck for it. im not sure how they wire up though. ill do some research for you

Here's a shot of mine the day I installed it, it's a Gentek that's auto-dimming w/ outside temp and compass. Installation is a piece of cake and I really like the auto-dimming feature since I have a sliding rear window and it can be pretty blinding when some douche drives up behind me with they're brights on or wannabe HID's and I have the window open.
They're also available with map lights, but my factory mini overhead console already has em.

Yea the console that i am gonna try and install this weekend has the map lights and the little pocket just like yours. So i wouldnt need the map lights on the mirror. I like the Gentex and i dont know what to pick..lol
I also have the sliding rear window so dimming mirror is a must for me also.
