Try spraying the side rails (the fuzzy guide rails) all the way to the top with teflon spray. Use lots and wipe clean with a rag, respray and wipe again. Do this until the window moves fast enough. Worked for me.

My windows both got progressively slower until the driver side regulator finally seized up. Installed a new regulator and it's fast as lightning now...it was so much faster than the passenger side that I ended up replacing that regulator too...it was literally half the speed of the driver side.

My manual crank windows in my 71 Cutlass are faster than my driver window. The electric windows inside the sand filled doors of my river toy are about the same speed and they were installed in 88!!!

I see that this is an old thread, but was thinking if anyone had every contemplated swapping the motors out of a ford??? I hate Fords, but.... they do have some awesome window motors. Any feedback on how any of you have tried to correct this problem would be appreciated.

I had the same issue until I did the big 3 upgrade. Added a few 4ga grounds and ran 4ga positive from battery to main fuse panel under the hood as well as 4ga positive to a few other places. Windows seem much faster now. Also when installing my stinger road kill I greased the tracks and cables the best I could I noticed a little bit difference.

Mine does the same thing on the passenger window, it goes up and down really slow. Slower up than down tho. Sometimes it doesn't even make it up all the way
It gets stuck like at the middle and I gotta play with it up and down a little until it goes up any ideas?
