As in what connections, adapters, etc.? I'll be installing this and upgrading my sound system and was wondering what I'll need. I would like video to be visable while driving. I have a '06 2500HD with Bose system, 6 in-dash DVD player, steering wheel controls, OnStar, XM radio, and rear audio controls. However, I don't care about the XM as it just expired and don't plan to buy it. I don't use OnStar either and I'm sure its expired just as well.

Look just get what indash you want as long as it had front and rear preouts on it WHY?
Well there is a harness out there that has standard white/gray/green/purple wires with rca's ends. Plug those into the the preouts and connect the blue/white from the radio to the solid blue in the harness. The Bose will come on. This harness has the GM chime box instead of going through the driver's door speaker the chime comes out of the box.
The steering wheel control easy to there is an adapter that you can use for that as well the SWI-X (Steering Wheel Interface) google it up you will find it I think Stinger/Peripheral products makes it.
If you want the rear controls to work lean towards the Clarion they have the input for it I think but now i think ecplise does to.
BTW did you mean in-dash cd?

If you need to know how to by-pass the parking break BS let mw know kind of a pain in the ***.
That is a good unit other than the by-pass part I like Alpine never really have to much trouble out of any of there products.

Got the unit installed yesterday and played with it some. Even with the stock Bose speakers it sounds much much better than the stocker. My Ipod sounds great hooked up with the Ipod cable ( $30 ). DVD Clarity is perfect, I was also looking at the new Kenwood that was just release last week and I think that has a little better screen quality, But You HAVE to use the touchscreen if you dont have the remote, There arent buttons on the unit to switch sources channels on the HU. The alpine you can use the buttons or remote or touch screen. Overall ease of use is excellent, you can download for free new backgrounds from alpine you can also download custom eq settings and load them on to the stereo from alpine. http://i-personalize.alpine.com/cgi-...mon/ip_menu.pl
Ill try to get some pics later today.
