Does this navigation head unit play DVDs? Does your Sierra have the Bose system?

There is a mounting spot for it under the dash. I didn't feel like taking apart the whole dash right now, so temorarily it is mounted on the dash next to the light sensor. See pic below.

Surprisingly no, it pluged right up and worked perfectly! No dealer reprogramming or anything!

No it doesn't do the dvds, and yes I have the Sierra Bose.
