Default Vehicle security

Was reading about a company call Mobilistics. They won a award at the 2005 SEMA show.

They have a replacement relay, either for the factory starter, or fuel pump relay, that will not work unless it receives a signal from the small thingy that snaps on your key ring....

Anyone have any experience with them or know someone who has?

Are we allowed to post links to companies that are not sponsers?

Anyway...just do a search on google under "Mobilistics".

There will be a menu of security products they sell.....

..the one were interested in is "no start"

Well..today the Mobilistics No-Start arrived today.

Removed the factory starter relay and replaced it with their relay.

Started my truck just to make sure it would start with that relay.

Took the small thingy that clips on your key chain and set it on the curb some distance from the truck.

..walked back and the turned the ignition key...

..truck started

..move the thingy farther away

..truck started..

..move it down the curb and at about 25 ft away, the truck would not start .

Go pick the thingy up and carry it with me into the cab....

..the truck started.

Pretty simple so far. In Auto mode the little battery is supposed to last 6+ months.

interesting....
I had a "kill switch" on my '98 S10 that you plugged a "top" into to complete the circuit which allowed the truck to start.

Here's the site that shows what I had.

http://www.ravelco.com/aboutus.htm

and something worth noting:
"Not one vehicle has ever been reported stolen using the RAVELCO since its debut in 1976. "
