Well, considering that his truck is a single cab, I'd say that it is probably behind the seat. Cubes are minimal, that's a guarantee.

What model #s are you looking at?

I try not to go by brand - always look at the specs.

The JL's may have less power handling and be less efficient than the MB quarts.
Gotta look at the numbers and don't get hung up too much on the brand.

"Specs" listed under a description of an audio item are just like the specs given by the guy at the Chevrolet dealership. Kicker doesn't sell 300 watt rms amps that truly "exceed power", just like that new Chevrolet truck doesn't have 400 h.p. like the dealer says. For instance, hook up a 2000 watt Sony amp v.s. a 2000 watt Sundown amp. Then you'll see my point, but what do I know?

Driver's side is 1.18 cubic feet, passenger side is 1.28 if I remember correctly, I'd have to recalculate again to be positive. Ported/tuned @ ~30hz

12W3V3-2 (12" W3 Version 3 - 2 ohm)
RMS = 75 - 500W (Nominal is somewhere around 375W)
Sensitivity: 87.15 dB
Free Air Resonance (Fs): 26.72 Hz
Freq. Response = 22-200Hz

This I have found in the past that this is true. I've been out of the mobile audio arena for a couple years now though, if for some reason I don't like the JL's, I'll put them in my boat or something. These will be the first 12" subs I've ever had, so I'm sure they won't disappoint.

JL Subs or Digital Design Subs are my preference, neither will disapoint, Just get a good Amp that will deliver, like JL's Slash series
