Default upgrading stock system

ok so i dont like the sound of my stock system. im looking to get a new head unit, amp, speakers, and couple 8 inch subs. heres what i want

a head unit that looks sorta stock (not ricey and bright)
good sounding speakers for the doors (reg. cab)
an amp that can push subs and speakers
2 8 inch subs (one behind each seat) they dont need to be competion or anything i just want decent lows and a nice hit

any suggestions?

most head units have color lol. but most of them you can set one color. infinity, bose, fosgate, etc are good speakers. diamond amps have lifetime warrantys last i checked and are awesome amps. I had 1 10" sub in a custom built vented box in my truck and it sounded like 1 or 2 12's. I still have the box if you think you might want it. pm me. The box was built by a local audio shop and they used bass box pro (computer software for vehicle dimensions and best airflow.)

Kenwood EZ500 (no longer made, but you can still find them on the net)

I have this headunit with Rockford Fosgate 6.5s in front and Polk 4x6s in the back. For bass I have an Infinity Basslink. I'm real happy with the system, only thing I plan on doing to it now is getting some sound deadener and new tweeters.

A good thing with the Kenwood is you can have white numbers and green buttons, which matches the off-white gauges and green odometer numbers in the cluster.
