Default Uh oh. My driver's window is stuck down

My driver's side window has been making a loud nasty noise for the past few weeks. Kinda sounds like the tracks have NO grease on them. Well yesterday it went down and wouldn't come back up. At first the motor would make no noise at all so i assumed the switch died. Now the motor runs fine but the window won't move.

Thoughts on how to fix it? It now feels/sounds like the window is off the track. I'm gonna pull the panel off and attempt to see what's up.

Sounds like your Window Regulator cable broke. Your local auto parts store may have one if you want to attempt replacing it yourself.

yes you need to buy a new window regulator assembly. It's extremely common with chevys. Luckily it's not very expensive and even a retard can change one out.

I hope you didn't use duct tape. If so, have fun getting the residue off.

That's good to know. If mine ever breaks I'll be sure to buy a new cable and look for a retard.
