Well I swapped out my TPS I got from a member this morning. It was acting weird at 1st but after a couple starts and some running around it was fine. Wouldn't ya know, my SES light comes BACK on. I check it at Autozone and its the same ****.. What do I do? buy the brand new one and hope for the best or can I have the spare I have sitting around now re manned? Help plz, this pisses me off like no other cuz it drives like ****. Thanks guys

the chances that the spare was also bad are remote. I would bet its something other than the TPS itself.

thats the only code its throwing. The tool at autozone(hate those *******)says TPS/accelerator pedal position error. So if it were fly by wire it would be something wrong with the fly by wire. its definately an electronics issue because if it were mechanical it would be more obvious. This only happens at part throttle and it feels like I move my foot off and then right back to where it was. it does this several times despite I keep my foot in the exact same position

well I got a new TPS, its running better for sure, but my SES light isn't off yet. I've driven it a little since I put the brand new one on, but I've been a sleep the last couple hrs, so hopefully the lights off. Just in case, what do I do if it still does it?

Look in the tune, there are a few tables that have expected throttle pedal position vs. engine speed (or something like that). Sometimes you need to adjust those when a different cam is installed.

00silv4.8, that's the same code (p0142 i think) my truck has been having.
i replaced my TPS once already and i'm still getting it so i know it's not the TPS.
it's gone about a week and a half w/o the SES light but here lately i've been seeing it everyday and almost twice a day.
post back if you find anything out.

actually I did, it has to do with the MAP. Heres a link http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showth...ighlight=P0121

Chris (thunder550) and Kyle (KBracing96) have been alot of help, as well as Kyle being my tuner just we cant do anything about it till AJ comes back; my truck is set up for HPTuners and my PCM is on his comp. So basically I just have to wait and keep burnin up fuel as poorly as I am but all well.. Hope it helps you

not getting rid of the truck are you?

i'm almost wondering if this is the reason why i'm getting low gas mileage.
i'm getting about 14mpg and i've read other people saying they are getting 15-16mpg after a cam install.
