re is also a nice product i would also look into their line

dont just focus on base look into some good mid/high's to balance the system

from experience. ive had 5 w7's in my last rides and they are awesome. if you can do a 12 in a ported setup you will vibrate your truck loose and will love every minute. the 12w7 with the 1000/1 is a nice combo. i ran 3 12's w7 with a mmats 3000 x .05 ohm amp in a ported box in my old tahoe it was alot of fun. dynamat is your friend.

the response and spl is amazing and for being the age they are

You cant get any bettery than JL Audio in my opinion, the W7 is an amazing sub. I had four JL W6V2 12inch subs in my old 1997 silverado and they were in a sealed box, sounded so clean and hit 151 DB at the DB drags. Post more pics of your build as you go along, Good luck with your build!

Doubt me idc. You know what you like and I know what I like.

Try a JL W7 13 or a Treo SSI 12 (which is a mid level sub), They will both be just as loud if not louder than the Kicker solobaric L7 12 and a hell of a lot cleaner IMO, If all were in Boxes built to spec.

yes, I do doubt. I know how the t-cut top plate is on them, and the bumped backplate. The ONLY way you will bottom them out is pushing waaaaay past mechaincal limits of the driver. And that wouldn't be the drivers fault, more of user/installation error.

Sure, the W7 is a nice clean sub, but not a SPL sub. As far as which one is 'louder' will be on install.
