I was wondering, how many and what size the stock speakers are in my 99 GMC Sierra. I say the front speakers in the doors are 6 1/2", and isnt there some tweeters in the doors too? I have heard the ones in the ext. cab side panels are 4x6" speakers, am I right?

 

your 100% right 6.5 with a factory tweeter that hardly makes any sound, 4x6's out back

 

Alright thanks, now I have a decision to make with the front speakers, either Kenwood KFC-1669S or Kicker 05DS60.

infinity kappa is a better speaker may not look the best but produces the best sound

 

IMO don't waste your money on speakers unless you can power them with an amp. I've said this before, I would put an amp on stock speakers before I would put aftermarket speakers on a stock deck. Just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth.
