Well guys my stuff is in. With a little tuning I will be completely happy. It ROCKS!
Only thing I have lost is the feature where the radio stays on with the key off until you open the door. I had to use a 12V accessory lead to power the amps on since the factory head unit doesn't have this lead? Now I don't get the key in ignition and lights on chimes if the key is turned off. Anybody know how to tap into this and get a 12V output to work like stock?
Alpine Type S 171 A up front. Polk Audio DB460 and Infinity Basslink in back. Alpine MRV F340 amp powering the 4 door speakers.
I made a wire harness that plugs into the deck and into the factory wire harness so that I could keep the stock wiring uncut. Using 2 sets of Scoche GM05 and GM05R wire harnesses. Ran the 4 channels of H/U speaker outputs to the rear behind the seat and the 4 channels of amplified back up to the wire harness. All of these along with the 4 gauge power cable from the battery fit perfectly in the wiring channels the runs along side the drivers seat at the rocker/kick panel.
