Default Speedometer prob

Dunno if this is where I should post my question, but I'm having strange problems with my speedo in my 04 Tahoe. She works fine for a while then suddenly she goes berzerk..... staying at 30+mph when shes not running to showing 95+ while going 55Mph. The speeds that it displays and speeds at which the anomalie occurs is ramdom, and different every time. Eventually she starts acting like normal and the prob seems to go away for a few days/hours... then it starts again.

Any help appreciated

Cluster is shorting out, you'll need to replace it! Price for a IPC here is $348.00
plus labor and reprogram

eBay and check in the classifieds because some people sell their stock cluster if they upgrade to a denali or escalade cluster
